Archangel Ariel is the archangel most closely associated with the healing of animals, also wildlife, fairies, elementals and nature spirits.

The name 'Ariel' has several possible meanings, including 'Lion (or Lioness) of God'.

Archangel Ariel is sometimes confused with Archangel Uriel and is said to co-operate with Archangel Raphael in the healing of animals, especially wildlife - small or large, from sparrows to hedgehogs, snakes to rhinos. Archangel Ariel is particularly associated with lions.
