Sclerectomy
A sclerectomy is an ophthalmic surgical procedure in which part of the sclera (the thick white fibrous outer-layer of the eyeball) is removed.
Note that the meaning of this term should be obvious from its parts, i.e. "scler-" refers to the sclera of the eye, and "-ectomy" (whose origin is the Greek word meaning "act of cutting out") usually refers to the surgical removal or "cutting-out" of the specified body-part, component, or type of tissue.
