Keratotomy
A keratotomy is the ophthalmic term for
a surgical incision (cut) into the cornea
of the eye.
Note that the word-part "kerato-" refers
to the cornea of the eye, as is also true for other terms in this section - listed on the
left.
Keratotomy is the general term for a surgical incision into the cornea, see also the more specific terms arcuate keratotomy and radial keratotomy.
