Green Aventurine

Green Aventurine is a naturally occurring gemstone that has a trigonal crystal structure, green aventurine being a form of quartz. Quartz is the common name for the crystal form of silicon dioxide whose chemical formula is SiO2.

Green Aventurine differs from other forms of quartz because it includes other elements that result in its predominately green colour. Shades of green may vary according to the particular conditions in which any one sample was formed.

Green Aventurine is sometimes associated with:

  • the astrological sign of Aries
  • the Heart Chakra
  • balancing of male/female energies
  • creativity
  • motivation
  • leadership qualities
  • balancing of intellectual, emotional and physical auric bodies
  • the number 3.
