What is Acupuncture ?

Acupuncture is an ancient approach to treating the body to ease or alleviate a huge range of conditions.

It involves the insertion and manipulation of very fine needles into specific points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes.

There is an extensive theory explaining acupuncture in terms of movement of "chi" (which is a Chinese term for "vital energy, or "life-force") along meridian lines that flow through the body and on which the acupuncture points are located.
