Brachiocephalic veins
The brachiocephalic veins are also sometimes known as the innominate veins.
The term brachiocephalic vein can refer to either of two veins, one of which is located on each side of the neck and is formed by the junction of the external jugular and the subclavian veins (on the appropriate side of the body).
The two brachiocephalic veins merge to form the superior vena cava which drains blood from the head, neck, thorax, and arms.
