Cause

Addison's Syndrome is caused by inadequate secretion of coricosteroid hormones by the adrenal glands, sometimes as a result of tuberculous infection.

Effects (Symptoms)

Symptoms can include

  • weakness
  • loss of energy
  • low blood pressure
  • dark pigmentation of the skin

Treatment:

Formerly fatal, Addison's Syndrome is now treatable by replacement hormone therapy.
