Health Food - illustrating an item from the UK Food Standards Agency.

The National Codex Consultative Committee (NCCC) is inviting its members to a meeting prior to the 21st session of the Codex Committee on Fats and Oil (CCFO). The NCCC meeting will be held at 10am on Friday 16 January 2009 at the Food Standards Agency headquarters in London.

The NCCC meeting aims to discuss the agenda items and associated papers for the CCFO session, some of which may contain comments from other countries or organisations. It will also be an opportunity to raise any issues of concern to UK consumers and industry, regarding edible fats and oils.

The 21st session of the CCFO will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia from 16 to 20 February 2009. The CCFO agenda and accompanying papers can be found on the Codex Alimentarius website (Ref CX - 709 - 21). Most of the reference papers are currently not linked to the agenda and we suggest that you check the agenda regularly to access these and other relevant papers prior to the meeting. However, some of the reference documents are available at the links below.

NCCC members should confirm their attendance to the NCCC meeting, or propose an alternative delegate by 9 January 2009.
